32. Flatz Austria Open: Internationales Top-Event mit 215 Startern aus 13 Nationen
Am vergangenen Wochenende fand das 32. Flatz Austria Open statt und bestätigte einmal mehr seinen Status als eines der renommiertesten internationalen Turniere. Mit 215 Startern aus 13 Nationen verwandelte sich die Wettkampfstätte in ein Zentrum hochklassiger sportlicher Leistungen und spannender Duelle.
Internationale Beteiligung auf höchstem Niveau
Athleten aus Österreich, Deutschland, der Schweiz, den USA, Polen, Großbritannien, Ungarn, Spanien, Estland, Litauen, den Niederlanden, der Slowakei und Israel reisten nach Österreich, um sich auf der Matte zu messen. Die hohe Teilnehmerzahl und das starke internationale Feld unterstrichen die Bedeutung des Turniers als wichtiger Gradmesser für die Athleten.
Spannende Wettkämpfe und herausragende Leistungen
Die Wettkämpfe boten zahlreiche Highlights, darunter beeindruckende Techniken, knappe Entscheidungen und emotionale Siege. Besonders die Finalkämpfe begeisterten das Publikum, das mit großem Interesse die Leistungen der Sportler verfolgte. In den Altersklassen U17 und U20, Männer und Frauen, wurden insgesamt 301 Kämpfe ausgetragen.
Ein erfolgreicher Wettbewerb mit Blick auf die Zukunft
Das Organisationsteam zeigte sich hochzufrieden mit dem reibungslosen Ablauf des Turniers. Die positive Resonanz von Teilnehmern und Zuschauern lässt bereits die Vorfreude auf die nächste Ausgabe des Flatz Austria Open wachsen.
Das Turnier wird auch im kommenden Jahr wieder im alten Format mit zwei Tagen Wettkampf stattfinden, vom 13.02.2026 bis zum 15.02.2026.
Wir gratulieren allen Athleten zu ihren Leistungen und bedanken uns bei allen Beteiligten, die dieses Event zu einem großartigen Erfolg gemacht haben!
Ein besonderer Dank gilt dem Volleyball Club Wolfurt für die Mithilfe an der Theke und in der Küche. Ohne die Unterstützung anderer Vereine, der zahlreichen Helfer, Organisationen und Unterstützer wäre ein solches Turnier nicht möglich.

Last weekend, the 32nd Flatz Austria Open took place, once again confirming its status as one of the most renowned international tournaments. With 215 participants from 13 nations, the competition venue turned into a center of top-class athletic performances and thrilling duels.
International participation at the highest level
Athletes from Austria, Germany, Switzerland, the USA, Poland, Great Britain, Hungary, Spain, Estonia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Slovakia, and Israel traveled to Austria to compete on the mat. The high number of participants and the strong international field emphasized the tournament’s significance as an important benchmark for athletes.
Exciting competitions and outstanding performances
The competitions featured numerous highlights, including impressive techniques, close decisions, and emotional victories. The finals, in particular, captivated the audience, which followed the athletes’ performances with great enthusiasm. A total of 301 matches were contested in the U17 and U20 age categories, for both men and women.
A successful event with a view to the future
The organizing team was highly satisfied with the smooth execution of the tournament. The positive feedback from participants and spectators is already building excitement for the next edition of the Flatz Austria Open.
The tournament will return next year in its traditional format, with two days of competition, taking place from February 13, 2026, to February 15, 2026.
